Charlene began her journey with the Bleeding Disorders Foundation of North Carolina (BDFNC) as a dedicated volunteer in 2007. Over the years, both as a volunteer and staff member, she has played a pivotal role in developing BDFNC’s programs, retreats, and fundraisers. Charlene has been a speaker at various national meetings over the years. Charlene takes an active role in the Chapter Services Organization, which represents more than 45 bleeding disorders organizations across the US, and also serves on the Southeast Region Hemophilia Network Training and Technical Assistance Meeting Planning Committee. She has continued to find her motivation and inspiration from community members. Charlene has her undergraduate degree in psychology and a Master of Public Administration from UNC-Chapel Hill. When Charlene isn’t at the office, she enjoys traveling and spending time with her family, including her husband, son, and furbabies.
