Scholarship Information

IMPORTANT: These scholarships are awarded on the basis of merit and need. All applicants are required to submit a completed FAFSA form, even if they are not applying for federal aid.

  • 2025-26 George D. McCoy Scholarship

    Amount: $1,000

    Candidate: Persons diagnosed with mild, moderate, or severe hemophilia A. The applicant does not need to be a North Carolina resident.

    Note: Applicants to this program will automatically be considered for the Optum Infusion Pharmacy/Bleeding Disorders Foundation of North Carolina Scholarship (see below). There is no need to submit separate applications.

  • 2025-26 Optum Infusion Pharmacy/Bleeding Disorders Foundation of North Carolina Scholarships

    Amount: $20,000 to be distributed in awards of $500 to $3,000

    Candidate: Persons affected by a bleeding disorder including anyone who: has been diagnosed with a bleeding disorder; is a caregiver of a child or adult diagnosed with a bleeding disorder; or has a sibling or a parent in the same household diagnosed with a bleeding disorder. At least one scholarship will be awarded to an applicant pursuing education in a health-related field. The applicant does not need to be a North Carolina resident.
