Kathy rejoined the board in 2018 after a six-year hiatus. She has been an officer or board member on and off since the mid-1970s. She and her husband Charles (factor VIII severe) have stayed involved–Charles as BDFNC’s volunteer webmaster and both of them (at different times) as volunteer Interim Executive Director, and as captains of the Family Festival Clot Hoppers Team. Kathy and Charles have two grown sons, a beloved daughter-in-law, two adorable granddaughters, ages 12 and 14, and a 13-year-old pit bull terrier, Riley, the sweetest dog on earth. Shouldn’t everyone with a bleeding disorder own a pit bull?
