Join the Bleeding Disorders Foundation of North Carolina (BDFNC) for the final program of the alternative therapies for mental wellness series, Yoga for Mental Wellness.
Through regular practice, yoga has been shown to help with mental clarity, calmness, relaxation, and stress management. Pat Connolly, MSW, will be leading us through a yoga class that will focus on gentle stretching, poses, and breathing. The goal is for you to leave relaxed, with lower stress and less anxiety. Whether you have been practicing yoga for years or have never done yoga, this class is perfectly adaptable to you. Modifications will be provided to help people of all physical ability levels, including poses that can be done while sitting.
Pat Connolly holds a Master’s in Social Work from Fordham University and held a number of positions in the New York State Criminal Justice System. She has taught Criminal Justice and Self Hypnosis at the college level and has worked as a therapist with private clients. Currently, Pat teaches Yoga and Meditation for the UNC Wellness Center and the Town of Cary.
You may join us either IN-PERSON or VIRTUALLY. Please indicate how you plan to attend when registering. If you are attending virtually, a Zoom link will be sent to you.
The registration deadline is Tuesday, June 7.
