Registration is Open for an Exciting, Fun-Filled Weekend.
We Hope You Will Join us for the Teen Retreat!
Are you ready, teens? Get excited for a weekend adventure featuring activities and sessions that will challenge, inform, and inspire you. Share your ideas for making a positive impact on yourself and the community!
This year, the Bleeding Disorders Foundation of North Carolina (BDFNC) is providing this program for FREE. That means lodging, meals, and all activities are covered so you can enjoy the weekend adventure! Plus, you can bring a friend. Don’t miss out! BDFNC will only be able to accommodate one hotel room per registered family/party.
*New 2026 requirement: All teens will have to be accompanied by a parent/caregiver for the teen retreat weekend.
| Schedule of Events:
Friday: Check-in starts at 3:00 p.m at the hotel, dinner (teens and parents), and welcome programming. Saturday: We will be spending the whole day at the U.S. National Whitewater Center:
Sunday: Check out, breakfast, programming, closing, and boxed lunches. |
Who can attend?
All teens, 13-18, in the bleeding disorders community, plus their parent(s)/guardian(s). This includes teens diagnosed with a bleeding disorder, siblings of someone diagnosed with a bleeding disorder, and children of an adult diagnosed with a bleeding disorder. Plus, all teen participants can bring a friend, as long as the friend is also a teen.
Registration is required for all participants.
Transportation
All transportation to the hotel and the Whitewater Center will be the responsibility of the teens’ parent/caregiver. (Travel assistance is available)
Medical Care & Chaperones
We will have a local Hemophilia Treatment Center nurse serving as our staff nurse this year during the trip to the U.S. Whitewater Center. BDFNC and other trusted volunteers will be the retreat chaperones.
All participants must include all forms in addition to the online registration. Parents and teens must sign forms, one form per participant.
