Join us in Raleigh for the Bleeding Disorders Foundation of North Carolina’s 2026 Advocacy Days. We will visit the NC General Assembly to talk with lawmakers about issues affecting our community. This may sound intimidating, but all you need to be able to do is tell your story, and we will help you with the rest. We will also make sure you never visit a legislative office alone.
As a statewide organization, we need people to join us from all corners of North Carolina, including the mountains, beaches, and everywhere in between. Wherever you live, come to Raleigh and represent the bleeding disorders community with your elected representatives.
This year for Advocacy Days, we will highlight patient access challenges and ongoing barriers to care, ensuring these issues remain at the forefront of policy discussions. Additionally, we will advocate alongside members of the bleeding disorders community to share with policymakers the real-life impacts of Medicaid cuts and how they affect individuals and families.

* Hotel accommodations are available upon request through March 26 for attendees traveling over 30 miles and attending both the training and Advocacy Day.
Tuesday, April 28 – 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. – NC Legislature
BDFNC will have a booth at the NC Legislature to raise awareness among legislators and the public about issues in the bleeding disorder community. We will begin with a briefing at 8:30 a.m. at the BDFNC booth. BDFNC members will meet with their legislators and staff in small groups. Legislators want to hear about the issues that affect you. Use YOUR voice and YOUR story to remind our legislators to consider the bleeding disorders community when making important decisions on behalf of the residents of their district. Join us for the training dinner and visit the NC Legislature, or just come for the legislative visits.
