Travis Reese

Travis Reese is a Sanford School of Public Policy graduate student pursuing a Master of Public Policy at Duke University. He focuses on health economics and national security, emphasizing health reform and national defense ethics. Travis graduated from the University of Wisconsin–Madison in May of 2018. He received a Bachelor of Business Administration with a double major in Marketing and Management. After graduation, Travis spent five years in automotive and strategy consulting. He is currently on a leave of absence from Accenture Strategy where he focused on an intersection between growth and sustainability strategy.

Travis has spent time in his undergrad, the private sector, and now in graduate school looking for ways to advocate for the LGBTQ+ community. As part of the LGBTQ+ community, he has looked for ways to improve LGBTQ+ experiences. His involvement includes participation in PridePolicy at Sanford, a LGBTQ+ club focused on connecting with other students of similar backgrounds. After graduation, Travis plans to return to strategy consulting to leverage his public policy analysis skills with clients who need assistance navigating the decarbonization transition to a cleaner economy. After that, he has an interest in getting involved with Wisconsin politics (his home state). In Travis’ free time, he enjoys hiking, running, baking, reading up on current events, and spending time with friends and family.
