The Bleeding Disorders Foundation of North Carolina (BDFNC) invites you and your family to a community dinner program to educate you and help build community. Join us at Nino’s Cucina Italian Restaurant in Greenville, NC, for an evening of conversation and a presentation about being prepared for an emergency. This is a great opportunity to learn something new and build community with other families.

Barbie Castano Arrebola will present “Being Prepared for a Hemophilia Emergency.” Knowing what to do in an emergency situation will help patients and caregivers experience better medical care.  This session teaches communication and advocacy skills to assist with emergency care and when traveling. The goal is to provide strategies to effectively interact with emergency room staff.

Barbie is a Hemophilia Community Executive with Bayer. She has over 20 years of hemophilia experience and is an active member of the bleeding disorders community. Her passion is to empower people to live beyond their bleeding disorder through education.

You will have time to connect with other community members and learn important skills that will improve your experiences living with a bleeding disorder. This program is FREE to attend and open to those affected by any bleeding disorder.

Please register by the deadline!

Optional: After the educational presentation, attendees will have an opportunity to speak with Bayer representatives about the products and services they offer to the community.
